(5/9/25) Twins win, we lose. 1-1 yesterday 33-18-1 (65%!!!)
Yesterday did not play the Twins correctly. Went thru all the analysis as to why the Twins would smoke the Orioles but I only gave them 5 innings to do it. They won 5-2, but end of 5 down 2-1. Shake it off.
3:40pm. Lay -145 on the 18-19 Braves @ 12-26 Pirates. The Pirates are trying to take over the top spot as the worst team in baseball as they are 1-9 their last 10 games. Fortunately the Rockies have a firm hold on #1 with 6 wins, Pittsburgh in 2nd with 12. In the last 10 games Pittsburgh is not scoring and has allowed other teams to average 4 runs more per game! Braves are 6-4 their last 10 and their pitcher today Elder is 2-1 but has a poor ERA 0f 5.06. But if you can’t score it matters not (Braves averaging 4 runs per game last 5, Pirates averaging 0.8 runs per game. Lay the number vs the Braves.
4:40 pm. HATCHET PLAY. Take 23-16 Royals @ home vs the 20-19 Red Sox. I think the bookmakers have this game wrong so bet it early. The Royals are smoking hot right now having won 9 of last 10 and have outscored their opponents by an average of 3.2 rpg. Lorenzen the KC pitcher has a 1.50 ERA at home vs Dobbins for Boston with a 3.8 ERA. The Royals are 15-5 at home and the Sox have a losing record on the road. Take the Royals.
6:40 pm. These games looking easy today, hopefully it works out. Lay -145 on the 22-14 (12-6 home) Mariners @ home vs the 17-20 (6-12 away) Blue Jays. The Mariners are smoking hot going 8-2 their last 10 and averaging 3.1 rpg more than their opponents and the Jays have been outscored by 13 runs their last 10. Pitching matchup is beautiful as Castillo for the Mariners has a 1.57 ERA at home vs Gausman for the Jays has a 5.32 ERA away. Lay the number.
